New Purchases 2/25/2010

Went back to the Comic Shop today and picked up some more comics, today i got Justice League of America #41B (been looking for this one), Justice Society of America #36, Gotham City Sirens 39, Wonder Woman #41, X-Force #24, X-Men Legacy #233, Tales of the Dragon Guard #1, Archie #607, Gold Digger: The Sacred Library #3, Obamouse #1, Farscape Ongoing #4, Star Wars: Legacy #45, Transformers #4BTales of the TMNT #67, Domino Lady #4B, Torchwood Magazine #19 and Doctor Who Magazine #417.Also went by Walmart and picked up DC Universe Batman figure which i cannot wait to put on display, i have the Green Lantern and Power Girl figure on order through my LCS (Local Comic Shop). New Purchases 2/24/2010

Hell all it's me again lol, went out today and got some comics, blu-ray and a t-shirt today. 1st i went to the comic shop and picked up some great reads to stack up on the other comics & manga i havn't got around to reading yet. I ended picking up Blackest Night #7, Black Lanter Green Arrow #30 (Previously know as Green Arrow/Black Canary), Blackest Night: J.S.A. #3, Batman and Robin #9, The Flash: Rebirth 36, The Amazing Spider-Man #622, Spider-Man: The Clone Saga #6, X-men: Second Coming - Prepare #1 (Which was free promo), Image United #0, Gold Digger #115 and Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors #1 (Cover A & B), gonna go back tomorrow and pick up some more books. 2nd i went to Best Buy and bought the Blu-Ray of Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths which has some great features i can not wait to watch and came with a figure of Owl Man which is the evil version of Batman. 3rd i went to Gamestop and paid off Final Fantasy XIII, which i can not wait to come out. The final stop was at Target and i picked up the Goonies: Never say Die shirt for 7.99, gonna go back next week and see if they still have the Turtles shirt. Comic Purchases 2/18/2010

Went back to the Comic Shop and picked up some New & Back Issue comics today to add to my long reading list. I got Batman: Streets of Gotham #'s 2,4,5,6,7 - (Back Issues) and 8 & 9 (New), Power Girl #8 - (New - Re-order), Azrael Plus #3 - (Back Issue), Adventures in the DC Universe #4 - (Back Issue), Adventures in the DC Universe Annual #1 - (Back Issue), Batman #403 - (Back Issue), The Brave and the Bold #109 - (Back Issue), Action Comics Annual #3 - (Back Issue), Wonder Woman (Vol.2) #20 - (Back Issue) and 1st Issue Special #9 featuring Dr. Fate. Was looking for more issues featuring Zatanna but couldn't find any. Gonna have fun this weekend reading. Well see ya next week unless i find something to blog about and feel free to leave comments. New Purchases 2/16/2010

Sorry for the late postig on this, but i got really busy. Tuesday i got in the mail the Zatanna Special #1 Comic i ordered online, also went to the book shop and picked up the new Otaku USA April 2010, a Alice in Wonderland Bookmark which was 3.14, which was overpriced and The Last Days of Krypton written by Kevin J. Anderson  for 6.97 which i have been wanting for awhile. I also went to Toys r Us but didn't find anything i wanted. i then went to Best Buy and browsed around and found the 1st season of Fringe for 9.99, it's on sale this week. Everybody has been telling me i needed to see this eries and now i can. Well that's all for now and i will post Wednesday night on what i buy today (2/17/2010). Fell free to leave comments, Later!!

"Watchmen" HeroClix On Their Way

"Watchmen" HeroClix On Their Way

Today, WizKids/NECA announced that they would release a collector's box set of their HeroClix gaming figures based on the Warner Bros. film versions of the classic DC Comics "Watchmen" series. The set will include 25 miniature characters including main cast members like The Comedian and Silk Spectre as well as a special 14 inch version of the size-changing Dr. Manhattan. The figures will first be available at the 2010 Comic-Con International in San Diego before going on sale at comic and toy shops nationwide.
WizKids has been on a tear of recent DC announcements since being purchased by NECA (the National Entertainment Collectibles Association) last year after being dropped by Topps in 2008. So far, the company has announced waves of figures for the HeroClix game based on "The Brave & The Bold" in April and the best-selling "Blackest Night" in May.
And while the comics internet has been abuzz with talk of DC possibly prepping a sequel to the original "Watchmen" comic, it should be noted that the WizKids announcement deals with the movie versions of the characters, which have been exploited heavily since Zack Snyder's film adaptation hit last year.

And we not only have art to show, but we caught up with BRIGHTEST DAY writer Geoff Johns to give us his thoughts. Take it away, Geoff:

“Brightest Day’ is about second chances. I think it’s been obvious from day one that there are major plans for the heroes and villains from Aquaman to take center stage in the DC Universe, among many others, post-Blackest Night. ‘Brightest Day’ is not a banner or a vague catch-all direction for the DC Universe, it is a story. Nor is ‘Brightest Day’ a sign that the DC Universe is going to be all about ‘light and brighty’ superheroes. Some second chances work out…some don’t.”

NIS America Licenses Toradora as Its First Anime

NIS America, the American subsidiary of the Nippon Ichi Software game company, has announced on Thursday that Toradora! will be its first anime license for North America. The company told Anime News Network that it plans to take pre-orders for Toradora! later this month, and it will start shipping the series this April. NIS America will then release the anime versions of Pandora Hearts, Persona -trinity soul-, and Our Home's Fox Deity. (Wagaya no Oinarisama.). NIS America will make collector's items available for its anime releases.
The Toradora! anime adapts Yuyuko Takemiya and Yasu's light novel series of the same name. In this "superdreadnought of love comedies," a high school sophomore named Ryūji Takasu is ostracized because his angry-looking eyes make him look like a troublemaker. Meanwhile, there is a tiny but ferocious girl named Taiga Aisaka who is also shunned — even by her own family — as the "Handheld

Tiger." Taiga agrees to help Ryūji get closer to his high school crush, if he helps her get close to her own crush. The 10th and final volume of the light novels shipped last March, and the anime adaptation ran on Japanese television from 2008 to 2009.

Okay since i got that out of the way, i went back to the Comic Shop to pick up some Back Issues and New Comics today in case it snows really hard which i doubt. Comic Books, Manga & Other Purchases 2/10/10

Went out to the Comic Shop and Target today and picked up some new comics and comic related merchandise. At the Comic Shop i got Adventure Comics #7 - (Blackest Night), Adventure Comics #7 - (Variant Cover), Secret Six #18 - (Blackest Night), Batman and Robin #8, World's Finest Comics #288- (Back Issue), The Amazing Spider-Man #620, The Amazing Spider-Man Presents Jackpot #2, Strange #4, Haunt #5, Legendary Talespinners #1B - (Grant Bond Cover), Escape from Wonderland #4, Sci-Fi & Fantasy Illustrated #1, and Yen Plus Magazine March 2010 Volume 3 #3. Over at Traget i went to check on a T-Shirt with The Goonies on it, but they did not have my size so i ended up buying a really cool Spider-Man and Ghost Busters T-Shirt. I also picked up a Batman hat i found i really liked. That's all for this week, i am also working on a new blog post about my favorite 80's movies but havn't finished working on the list of movies i really liked. Comic Purchases 2/5/10

Sorry for the Late posting had to go watch Smallville: Absolute Justice, if you didn't see it you missed a great episode. My opinion i think the writers of Heroes need to take cue from what they did on Smallville if they wanna save Heroes, which i kinda hope they cancel cause the show is complete crap now. Now on to the comics i picked up Friday when i went back to the Comic Shop. Ok i got Batman Annual #22, Flash Annual #11, Detective Comics #861, Spider-Man/Marrow #1, Sky Pirates of Neo Terra #5, Savage Dragon #157, The Unknown: The Devil Made Flesh #4, The Complete Alice in Wonderland #2, Wildguard: Casting Call #'s 1,2,3,4,5,6 and Youngblood #4 (Bagged). Comics,Manga and Game Purchases 2/3/10

Went out to the Comic Shop, Book Shop and Game Store today and got some really cool things. At the Comic Shop i picked up Batman Confidential #41, Blackest Night: Wonder Woman #3, The Question #37 - (Blackest Night), Marvel Heart Breakers One-Shot, Daffodil #2, Fall Out Toy Works #3, Gold Digger Tech Manual #10 & 11, Gold Digger #114, Cavewoman: Meriem's Gallery #5, Doctor Who Ongoing #8, Legends: The Enchanted #0, Street Fighter II Turbo #11 & Grimm Fairy Tales: Short Story Collection. Also at the Comic Shop i picked up Oh My Goddess Vol.34 and Shonen Jump Volume 8 Issue 3 March 2010. Then i headed over to the Book Shop and picked up Maka-Maka Volume 1, which shocked me that they had this. After that i went to Gamestop and picked up White Knight Chronicles for the PS3.
