Purchases for 10/4–10/5/2011

Hello All, this week has been a good week and a bad week. The good is I got some cool stuff, the bad I am home sick with a virus =(. But I get to catch up on some back-log of t.v. and comics so I wont have so much for the weekend. Tuesday I went to the Comic Shop (Clint’s Comics) and picked up some back-issues, I picked up DC Comics Presents #’s 24,26,27,80,81 & 86, Batman Plus Arsenal #1and Love & Rockets Trading Card Set. I am trying to complete the DC Comics Presents Series and hopefully I will one day. After that I went to Best Buy and picked up Return to Halloweentown for 9.99. I had a 5.00 certificate so I used it, now I have the complete series. Wednesday was new comic day so I went to the comic shop after work and picked up Action Comics #2, The Huntress #1, Detective Comics #2, Justice League International #2, Red Lanterns #2, SC Universe Online Legends #15, DC Comics Presents: Batman – The Demon Laughs #1, Scooby Doo Where Are You? #14, Blood Red Dragon #0 and Previews October 2011 for Comics Shipping December 2011. The freebie this week was Marvel Season One Guide. Some pretty great reads this week and hopefully DC will have a hit with the New 52 #2’s. See you all next post. Later!!

New Purchases 6/24–6/25/2011

Hello all once again for a quick blog post. Friday I went to Walmart before work and picked up some Batman Boxers for 3 bucks and a pair of DC Comics Pajama Bottoms. Saturday I went back to Walmart and picked up all 4 Critters movies on 2 discs and a Green Lantern movie cup. Also went to Books-A-Million and got the Warehouse 13: A Touch of Fever By: Greg Cox, Bakuman Vol.5, Library Wars Vol.5 and Otaku U.S.A. August 2011. Not a bad weekend. Ok to start off on Tuesday i went out and ran across a Tron Legacy Official Magazine at the grocery store, after that i went to Target and picked up Family Guy: It's A Trap on Blu-ray and Easy A on Blu-ray. Over at Best Buy i bough the Tron Legacy Soundtrack by Daft Punk which kicks major ass.

Also went to the Book Shop and picked up the novel version of FInal Crisis by: Greg Cox and Otaku U.S.A. December 2010 & February 2011. Sunday i went to the Bookstore after seeing Tron Legacy in 3D which was Awesome!!! and picked up Tron Betrayal #2 and K-On! Vol.1.

Financial Purchases 11-18-2010 - 11-19-2010

Ahhh!!! Thanksgiving is upon us and so is Christmas and i look back and say damn!!!, i spent a shit load of money this year/ Well least my crappy job comes in handy lol, also have the week off so it lets me catch up on everything and relax. Ok Thursday i went to Walmart after depositing my check and picked up Scott Pilgrim Vs The World on Blu-Ray and 2 Fleece Hoodies with Superman and Batman Logo's on them, also went to Gamestop after work and finally picked up my b-day present which was a XBOX 360. Went to Best Buy that night and picked up a HDMI Cable and Fables II. Friday i went to the Bookstore and picked up Scott Pilgrim Vol.1,2,3 and Lucky Star Vol.6. After that i went to the Comic Shop again and picked up the rest of my books which were The Amazing Spider-Man #648 Blank White Cover, G.I. Joe vs Cobra #3, Transformers Timelines #5, Gold Digger #123, Savage Dragon #165, Star Wars: Invasion - Rescues #5, Uncle Scrooge #397, Darkwing Duck #6B, Chip: 2nd Crack #2, A Very Zombie Christmas #2, Route Des Maisons Rouge #1, Doctor Who Magazine #427 and Clint Magazine #2. Got some back-issues to, got Green Lantern (Vol.2) #127 and Green Lantern Corps (Vol.,1) #218 & 220. Also picked up some Character Bandz of Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and Justice League of America. "Watchmen" HeroClix On Their Way

Today, WizKids/NECA announced that they would release a collector's box set of their HeroClix gaming figures based on the Warner Bros. film versions of the classic DC Comics "Watchmen" series. The set will include 25 miniature characters including main cast members like The Comedian and Silk Spectre as well as a special 14 inch version of the size-changing Dr. Manhattan. The figures will first be available at the 2010 Comic-Con International in San Diego before going on sale at comic and toy shops nationwide.
WizKids has been on a tear of recent DC announcements since being purchased by NECA (the National Entertainment Collectibles Association) last year after being dropped by Topps in 2008. So far, the company has announced waves of figures for the HeroClix game based on "The Brave & The Bold" in April and the best-selling "Blackest Night" in May.
And while the comics internet has been abuzz with talk of DC possibly prepping a sequel to the original "Watchmen" comic, it should be noted that the WizKids announcement deals with the movie versions of the characters, which have been exploited heavily since Zack Snyder's film adaptation hit last year.

Dark Horse, Universal Negotiating on Clover Movie

No deal signed yet for CLAMP's fantasy romance manga.

The North American publisher Dark Horse Comics has revealed at its Comic-Con International panel on Saturday that it is negotiating with the Universal film studio on the rights to develop a movie based on CLAMP's Clover manga. However, the two companies have not made a deal yet. Dark Horse acquired the North American rights to publish the manga last year after Tokyopop had previously published it.

A page on the official Japanese Evangelionrevealed that the mobile phone provider NTT docomo will offer a special "Nerv Only" phone model to tie into next month's Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance anime film. Director Hideaki Anno and his Studio KharaEvangelion films. Evangelion: 2.0 is the second of Anno and Khara's four theatrical remakes of Gainax's Neon Genesis Evangelion science-fiction television anime series, and Nerv is the secretive multinational organization of the main characters. NTT docomo will provide more details on the phone in the near future. website has company supervised and participated in all aspects of the phone's design (including the accessories and packaging), since the phone was specifically designed for use in the new Evangelion films. Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Shonen Ace magazine offered an official Evangelion cellular phone in the 1990s, but that earlier phone was just a regular model (already available on the marketplace) with a logo added on the case. The second film will open in Japan on June 27. Funimation announced on New Year's Eve that it will release the first film in the remake, Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, in North America this year.
